Athletic participation is a privilege that is EARNED! Each football player and cheerleader will need to complete 10 hours of conditioning. Football will practice 5 days a week during August up until Labor Day Weekend, and then up to 8 hours per week thereafter. Cheer will practice Mon-Thurs during August and up to 8 hours per week thereafter, based on age. All participants are expected to come to every practice and be on time. The Candlewood Valley League’s level of play is considered to be Travel/Competitive and the commitment level will reflect that.
All Football Players, Cheerleaders and their parents represent the Newtown Youth Football and Cheer program and our organization is here to provide an athletic environment that promotes Sportsmanship, Teamwork, Physical Fitness and Competition.
